The jump from 2kg to 8kg takes a third off the price of every meal. From 8kg to 24kg takes off another fifth.
So should I just buy the biggest one?
Only if your dog will get through it in a few months. A 24kg bag suits a large dog, a multi-dog household, or anyone happy to decant into an airtight container. A 5kg dog would take well over a year, which is longer than the food keeps well once opened.
For a single-dog household, 8kg or 12kg on a subscription usually works out best. It clears the free shipping threshold and brings the per-kilo price down a long way.
